Local Distribution - Through our strategic alliances FreightMatchers has access to a national network of cross-dock operations that provide local distribution or courier services. These locations offer origin and destination value adding services to compliment LTL, truckload, or intermodal shipments, even when the local portion requires small package service. The local deliveries can be dock-to-dock or lift-gate and inside delivery. The deliveries can include a single driver or multiple laborers that can provide unpacking, debris removal, rigging, stair carry, and light assembly or disassembly.
Warehousing - The same network can be used for variable cost storage in any increment of space and any duration of time. Storage can be provided for just a few pallets up to several thousand square feet. Inventory management is provided at the part number level. In many markets, climate control storage is also available for non-food commodities. Warehouse services can include order fulfillment, pick/pack/ship, kit assembly, product configuration, and returns management.
Product Installations - With the labor at the various warehouses and on the local delivery trucks, technical product installation or configuration can be provided assuming the proper instructions and training can be provided by the customer. If the requirement is beyond the capability of general logistics labor, tradesman or technicians can be contracted to meet the requirement.
Project Management - Some logistics programs require the coordination of numerous movements by many service providers with multiple hand-offs. FreightMatchers will provide a project manager(s) to oversee and administer complicated logistics projects or continuing programs such as new store openings or closings, new construction projects or renovations for hotels, casinos, banks, or other types of facilities.
